Not nearly as nice a drive home today as it was down yesterday. For one thing, it was raining. Sure, that's pretty normal in the northwest, but for the first 40 or 50 miles it was serious rain. With cloud sections that reminded both Paige and me of skies we saw on our big road trip this past summer. Totally expected lightning to start striking around us, but it never came. Instead, big rain came. Probably heaviest between Skamania Lodge and Vancouver, and decreasing as we went north. Still, it was enough to slow us down a bit.

Fortunately it didn't slow us down so much that we got caught up in Seahawks traffic. Also good was that the game was tight right up to the end so the majority of those in attendance didn't leave early. Unfortunately the wrong team won, but that seems to be par for the course this season...Sigh.
